Job Summary
We looking for someone who can assist our pharmacy team with assembling and organising blister packs which are medication put in plastic compartments to help assist patients taking their medication. This requires deblistering the medication into blister packs, we are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately dispensing medications, providing excellent patient care, and supporting pharmacy operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with pharmacy technician experience or those interested in developing their skills within a professional healthcare environment. Responsibilities
- Dispense prescribed medications accurately in accordance with prescriptions and pharmacy protocols
- Assist pharmacists with medication preparation and distribution
- Provide guidance and support to patients regarding medication usage and storage
- Maintain precise records of dispensed medications and patient interactions
- Ensure the pharmacy environment complies with health and safety regulations
- Support inventory management by stock checking and ordering supplies as needed
- Uphold patient confidentiality at all times and deliver compassionate patient care
Skills
- Prior experience as a pharmacy technician or in a similar role is highly desirable
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and pharmacy software systems
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to minimise errors
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care, safety, and confidentiality
Pay: £12.71 per hour
