Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Credit Controller/Administrator to join our dynamic finance team. In this vital role, you will oversee the debt collection management process, ensuring timely collection of outstanding invoices and maintaining healthy customer relationships. Duties
- Manage and monitor accounts receivable, ensuring prompt collection of overdue payments through effective communication with clients.
- Maintain accurate records of all credit transactions using accounting software.
- Process invoicing schedules, chasing credit notes efficiently while ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable statements regularly to identify discrepancies and resolve issues swiftly.
- Assist with the setup of new customer accounts and credit limits, setting up PO requirements and emailing set ups as needed.
- Support administrative tasks related to financial reporting, including preparing reports on outstanding debts and payment histories.
- Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to resolve billing issues and improve payment processes.
Skills
- Proven experience working with accounting software and a good working knowledge of Excel
- Strong understanding of accounts payable and receivable processes within a busy finance environment.
- Excellent communication skills to negotiate payment terms and follow up on overdue accounts confidently.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple accounts simultaneously.
- Ability to analyze financial data accurately and prepare clear reports for management review.
- Familiarity with credit control procedures and best practices in debt recovery.
- Knowledge of multi currency would be advantageous.
