Responsibilities
- Assist with daily activities, including organising routines and encouraging participation in educational or recreational activities
- Provide mentoring and guidance to promote positive behaviour and social skills
- Support children with special needs or behavioural challenges, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Collaborate with families, teachers, and other professionals to develop personalised support plans
- Encourage learning through teaching activities tailored to individual needs
- Maintain accurate records of progress and any incidents or concerns
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment that encourages personal growth
Skills
- Experience working with children or young people is highly desirable
- Strong mentoring skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others
- Teaching abilities to facilitate learning in various settings
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Empathy, patience, and a caring nature
- Organised with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Flexibility to adapt to different situations and individual needs
