Quality Manager
Salary: £50,000 to £65,000 p.a. depending on experience
Location: Southend-on-Sea
Hours: 37 hrs/wk (Monday to Thursday, Fridays off!)
An established Aerospace Precision Engineering manufacturer seeks an experienced Quality Manager to lead their Quality & Inspection department with full operational autonomy and leadership responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and maintain the AS9100 QMS
-
Lead and mentor the Inspection team
-
Create/approve FAIR/LAIR documentation using VisualFAIR
-
Conduct internal/external AS9100 audits
-
Act as Approved Signatory for product release

Oversee calibration and qualification processes
-
Drive zero-defect/continuous improvement initiatives and serve as primary contact for customer quality matters.
Requirements:

Proven aerospace sector experience (essential)

Strong working knowledge of AS9100/ISO9100

Hands-on FAIR/LAIR experience

Proven leadership/supervisory background in inspection/quality

Qualified auditor

Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings
