Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Rope Access Welder to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will perform advanced welding tasks at elevated and hard-to-reach locations using specialized rope access techniques. Duties
- Conduct welding operations at various heights and confined spaces using rope access techniques, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
- Perform MMA welding and other welding processes to join metals with precision and quality.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to prepare materials, cut sheet metal, and assemble components accurately.
- Inspect welded joints and fabricated structures for quality assurance, ensuring they meet project specifications and industry standards.
- Assist in the fabrication of metal structures, including cutting, shaping, and assembling sheet metal components.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, including inspection reports, welding logs, and safety documentation.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues on-site and ensure efficient workflow while prioritizing safety at all times.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Rope Access Welder or in a similar high-elevation welding role with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Requirement to pass customer site specific weld test.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with the ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment effectively.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and interpreting technical drawings or specifications.
- Familiarity with safety procedures related to working at heights, confined spaces, and industrial environments.
- Knowledge of assembly processes and sheet metal fabrication techniques is highly desirable.
