Job Title: Deputy Manager
As Deputy Manager, you will support both residents and staff, working closely with the Registered Manager to ensure the smooth daily running of the home. This role includes participation in the on-call rota and offers a blend of hands-on care and operational leadership.
What you’ll do
- Support residents with their individual care plans and daily routines
- Lead and motivate the care team to deliver high-quality, person-centred support
- Assist the Manager with rotas, audits, compliance, and day-to-day operations
- Contribute to staff supervision, training, and development
- Liaise with families, professionals, and external agencies
- Uphold safeguarding, health & safety, and regulatory standards
- Participate in the on-call rota as required
- Continue your career progression working towards your NVQ Level 4 Leadership and Management qualification
Basic qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 or above in Health & Social Care
- Minimum 1 year experience in a care setting supporting adults with mental health and/or learning disabilities.
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work flexibly and collaboratively within a team
- Commitment to promoting independence and inclusion
