MAK Electrical is a growing electrical contracting company delivering high-quality installation, maintenance and testing services across Surrey and the surrounding areas. We work with a diverse range of residential, commercial and industrial clients, providing reliable solutions with a strong focus on customer service, professionalism and attention to detail.
We have recently moved into a new office and are building a strong internal team to support our growing operations. The office team currently consists of the Operations Manager, Contracts Manager and two Directors, working closely together to support around 20 electricians working out in the field. As a growing business, we invest in our people, offering opportunities to learn, gain experience and grow with the company.
Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated and organised Office Administrator to join our team and play a key role in supporting both the office and our field-based electricians.
You will be the first point of contact for many internal and external queries, helping to ensure jobs run smoothly and our customers receive a responsive and professional service.
You’ll work closely with the Operations Manager as well as supporting our electricians in the field with scheduling, job information, customer updates and general administrative support.
This is a great opportunity to gain real exposure to how a busy electrical contracting business operates and to build valuable skills in administration, coordination and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Answering phone calls and responding to emails
- Supporting electricians with job information and general queries
- Managing customer enquiries and scheduling appointments
- Maintaining accurate records using our CRM system and Google Workspace
- Data entry and basic reporting
- Preparing, filing and organising documents
- Coordinating diaries and assisting with job scheduling
- Ordering office supplies and general office organisation
- Providing day-to-day administrative support to the Operations Manager and Directors
About You
- Friendly, professional and confident communicator
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook and Excel) and learning new software systems
- Experience with CRM systems, scheduling software, Google Workspace or AI tools such as ChatGPT is advantageous but not essential
- Interested in technology, automation and digital ways of working
- Proactive and solution-focused, with a desire to improve processes and increase efficiency
- Able to manage multiple priorities and work independently
- Reliable, punctual and professional
Experience
- Previous office experience preferrable.
- Customer service, retail or admin experience is beneficial but not essential
