Animal Nursing Assistant – Full Time

Bruton Vets is seeking a motivated and compassionate Animal Nursing Assistant to join our supportive team. This full-time role is ideal for someone who is passionate about animal care, enjoys hands-on clinical work, and wants to support our Registered Veterinary Nurses (RVNs) and Veterinary Surgeons in delivering high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist RVNs and Vets with daily nursing tasks and patient care
- Support with animal handling, monitoring, feeding, and general husbandry
- Prepare and clean equipment, clinical areas, and surgical spaces
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation throughout the practice
- Support reception when required, including client communication and patient admissions
- Ensure smooth day-to-day workflow under the guidance of RVNs
What We’re Looking For
- Genuine passion for animal welfare
- Ability to work calmly and confidently with a variety of animals
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Reliable, enthusiastic, and eager to learn
- Previous experience in an animal care or veterinary setting is helpful but not essential
