Team Leader – Specialist and Supported Housing
£35,796 | Dartmouth Avenue and Wellbeing House | Full time - on site
PERM | 37 hours per week
Provide inspirational and effective operational leadership to a team delivering supported and specialist housing services, ensuring residents receive high-quality, person-centred support that helps them live safely and independently. You will drive service quality, performance and partnership working, creating a positive team culture while ensuring services meet contractual, regulatory and organisational standards.
- Lead, support and inspire a team delivering supported and specialist housing services, ensuring person-centred, high-quality outcomes for residents while promoting a positive and inclusive team culture.
- Coordinate staffing resources to ensure effective service delivery, performance and continuity.
- Ensure contract compliance and the delivery of high-quality outcomes for customers.
- Promote customer involvement in service delivery and ensure regular feedback is gathered from customers, commissioners and partners to inform continuous service improvement.
- Respond effectively to incidents, emergencies and crisis situations, providing timely and appropriate support, managing conflict and mediating between customers where required to achieve positive and safe outcomes.
- Oversee the completion and quality of needs and risk assessments and support plans, ensuring they meet required standards, frequencies and agreed customer outcomes.
- Embed quality assurance frameworks within the team through training, supervision, team meetings and regular monitoring of compliance.
- Monitor service performance against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), using IT systems to track outcomes; identify and address underperformance; and provide monthly monitoring and quarterly written performance reports.
- Support the Service Manager by keeping up to date with relevant legislation and contributing to service development, improvement plans and opportunities for growth.
- Develop and maintain effective networks across Curo and with voluntary and statutory agencies to promote collaborative working, achieve the best possible outcomes for customers and staff, and represent Curo in a positive, professional and effective manner.
- Deliver and coordinate staff training and development in line with the annual training programme to ensure colleagues have the skills and competencies required.
- Support colleagues in managing breaches of tenancy or licence agreements, working proactively with relevant internal teams and issuing warnings and notices where appropriate.
- Undertake case management of a small number of high-risk customers, where required and subject to service needs, providing appropriate oversight, support and intervention to ensure effective management and positive outcomes.
- Ensure safeguarding responsibilities are understood and implemented, with all cases managed in line with policy and legislation.
- Work collaboratively across the organisation to ensure health and safety compliance, timely repairs and the provision of safe, welcoming schemes.
- Provide induction and refresher training to security staff working within schemes.
- Take responsibility for the health and safety of self, team members and others, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and organisational policies.
- Develop and maintain effective networks across Curo and with voluntary and statutory agencies to achieve positive outcomes for customers and colleagues.
- Work collaboratively across the organisation to maintain safe, welcoming schemes, support timely repairs and represent Curo professionally.
- Be educated to GCSE level or equivalent and/or with a relevant qualification/or experience.
- Bring experience of managing a team in a customer service environment.
- Demonstrate the ability to manage a range of services with competing priorities
- Demonstrate an understanding of quality assurance frameworks and an ability to ensure compliance
- Have a detailed understanding of performance improvement systems and tools and a track record of delivering improvements and results against targets
- Evidence experience of working either in supported housing, social care or a community environment.
- Be able to effectively network with other voluntary and statutory agencies and represent Curo in a positive and effective manner
- Evidence my ability to motivate and engage people, form effective relationships and help them meet agreed aims and objectives.
- Demonstrate my ability to maintain information systems and keep accurate records.
- Evidence my ability to communicate effectively at all levels, both verbally and in writing.
- Illustrate the ability to write clear and well-constructed reports
- Demonstrate excellent IT skills with up to date knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Evidence my ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
