Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Factory Labourer specialising in timber framing to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the production process, ensuring the efficient fabrication of timber components. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop practical skills within a dynamic workshop environment, contributing to high-quality timber frame structures.
Duties
- Assisting with the assembly and fabrication of timber frames using hand tools and power tools
- Operating and maintaining various workshop equipment with adherence to safety standards
- Heavy lifting of timber materials and components to facilitate assembly processes
- Cutting, shaping, and fitting timber parts as per specifications
- Utilising sewing and fabricating techniques for specialised components when required
- Organising materials within the warehouse for easy access and efficient workflow
- Supporting team members in completing daily production targets
- Ensuring the workspace remains clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
- Mechanical knowledge or experience with hand tools and power tools is advantageous
- Experience in fabricating, or assembly work is beneficial
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Physical fitness to stand for extended periods and carry out manual tasks effectively
- Basic understanding of health and safety procedures within a workshop environment

Pay: £12.21-£15.00 per hour
