Teach London is currently recruiting confident, enthusiastic and motivated Cover Supervisors to work across a range of East London secondary schools. Whether you're an experienced Cover Supervisor or a graduate looking to take your first step into education, we have opportunities available for September starts.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on classroom experience, develop behaviour management skills and build your confidence working with young people, all while making a positive impact in local schools.
The Role:
· Delivering pre-planned lessons during teacher absences
· Supervising students across a range of subjects and year groups (KS3 & KS4)
· Maintaining a positive learning environment and ensuring students remain on task
· Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
· Supporting students with their learning and engagement
· Providing feedback to teaching staff following lessons
Ideal Candidates Will Have:
· Experience working with young people in schools, tutoring, coaching, youth work, childcare or similar settings
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Confidence leading a classroom and engaging students
· A proactive, professional and adaptable approach
· A degree (or currently studying towards one) is desirable but not essential
· An interest in teaching, education or working with young people
· An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
