Experience of working as a cook is essential, must hold a current Food Hygiene Certificate
Working 09:30- 16:00 Monday to Friday on site at our Nursery or all year round. (hours TBC)
At the nursery your duties will include:
- Preparing nutritious meals for babies, toddlers and preschool, inline with a menu and recipes supporting the Nutritional Guidance for Early Years
- Accurate record keeping
- Maintaining food safety standards
- Cleaning the kitchen including stacking and unloading the dishwasher
- Brushing and mopping the kitchen floor at the end of the shift
- Placing a weekly food order and receiving the food order
- Lunch Cover support
- Bulk cooking to support other sites
- Allergy Management
- Support with Curriculum Delivery through mealtimes and activities
This role will be subject to an enhanced DBS Criminal Check, subscription to the update service and training in Allergy Management, Paediatric First Aid and require the applicant to be fully part of the Nursery Team
