Edwards Diving Services are seeking to recruit a full time CAD Technician/Data Processor to join our growing team and work on a diverse range of projects. This is a great opportunity to build your career by providing in-house services to support our survey, marine inspection and construction works all across the UK. The right candidate will be working to our purpose everyday: engineering solutions in challenging locations.
The role will be based at our South Wales Head Office.
The right candidate may have a variety of experience in office CAD tasks derived from surveying and civil engineering projects. The successful candidate should be happy working individually or collaboratively as part of a team, be a creative problem solver and prepared to take ownership for delivering projects and handling data.
You will be self-motivated to pick up applications and develop processes as part of a dynamic team and supported by your manager. A background in engineering, surveying or hydrography would be an advantage, but not a dealbreaker.

Key responsibilities:
· Be proficient in various software packages, AutoCAD as a minimum.
· Processing survey data
· Preparing survey drawings
· Pointcloud and 3D deliverables (advantageous but not essential)
· Processing Lidar and sonar data (advantageous but not essential)
Skills & Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have the following experience/qualifications:
· 1 year + in a similar role
· Specialist skills
· Surveying Background (Desirable but not essential)
· Technical Qualifications (NVQ/HNC etc)
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Strong interpersonal communication
· Proven planning and organisational skills
· Ability to work to deadlines
· Be eligible to live and work in the UK
· The ability to understand and interpret data
· Lateral and logical thinking
· Strong IT skills and confidence with new technology
Salary and terms will be competitive and negotiable depending on the candidate. The job could be offered on a part-time/reduced or condensed hours basis if required, all of which can be negotiated for the right candidate.
