Boston AI is a small, growing ERP and AI advisory consultancy. We help commercial clients deliver complex ERP programmes and navigate AI strategy, governance and delivery. As an early hire, you would work directly alongside the founder and help shape how the business runs day to day. This is a role for someone who likes variety, takes ownership, and wants to grow as the business grows.
The role
This is a broad, hands-on role split across two areas: keeping the business running smoothly, and supporting client-facing project work. No two weeks will look the same, and you will be trusted with real responsibility from the start. From time to time you may also provide administrative support to the founder's other business interests.
Day to day you will:
- Act as the right hand to the founder, keeping diaries, inboxes, meetings and priorities organised
- Bring structure and order to the running of a busy start-up, so nothing slips
- Provide general administrative and secretarial support
- Assist on client projects, helping to keep tasks, timelines and communications on track
- Prepare and format documents, decks and correspondence to a professional standard
- Provide occasional administrative support to the founder's other business interests
- Pitch in wherever needed, because in a small team everyone shares the load
What we are looking for
Above all, we want the right person: an enthusiastic, go-getter attitude matters more to us than ticking every box.
Essential:
- Exceptional organisational skills and a genuine instinct for order and detail
- Confident administrative and secretarial experience
- A proactive, roll-your-sleeves-up attitude and comfort with a fluid, fast-moving environment
- Clear written and verbal communication
- Great interpersonal skills
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
Desirable:
- Some exposure to project coordination or project management basics
- Experience in a start-up or small business
- Interest in technology, business systems and AI
- Customer service experience would be an asset
