Class 1 driver- Manchester area.
Pay £15.50 - 17.00 depending on shifts patterns, higher pay for Saturday, Sunday or Bank Holiday shift.
We are currently recruiting a Class 1 Driver to work for our client.
The Role
As a Class 1 driver you'll be reporting to the Team Leader, you will work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, adapting to new situations on a daily basis. This is a physically and mentally demanding role that requires reliability, flexibility, and a strong work ethic. Client will accept a new passed drivers.
Shifts:
Both day shift and night shift available.
Class 1 Nights - Shifts roughly 7pm - 5am (Can vary an hour either way depending on drivers' availability)
Class 1 Days- Shifts roughly 7am - 5pm (Can vary an hour either way depending on drivers' availability)
Safe and legal operation of a lorry
Conducting pre-trip vehicle checks
Ensuring loads are secure
Planning efficient delivery routes
Adhering to drivers' hours and road regulations
Delivering goods to specified locations on time
Induction - Can be done an hour before the first shift.
Full UK driving licence with Category CE (Class 1)
Excellent time management and organisational skills
Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
Strong work ethic with a positive, can-do attitude
Good communication and teamwork skills
Right to work in the UK
Minimum 1 year's experience desirable, but not essential
