Mayden Support is a Supported Living provider established in 2018 in Warrington, supporting people through our person-centred approach.

Main purpose of job:
As a Residential Support Worker your responsibilities will include:
- Providing direct care and support to children and young people with learning disabilities, ensuring their safety, dignity, and well-being are maintained at all times
- Assist with personal care tasks, which may include personal hygiene, dressing, and feeding (As required)
- Working and supporting children and young people to create positive outcomes and promote independence
- Direct practical interactions with children and young people including play, activities, cooking, engaging with the wider community, supporting educational and health needs and personal care (if required)
- General housekeeping duties and maintenance
- Completing general Health and Safety checks
- Budgeting
- Recording and reporting
- Key working
- Advocacy
- Behavior management
- Working to a high standard in line with OFSTED inspection framework requirements, Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and the Quality Standards.
- Engage in planning and implementation of individual care plans and other relevant documentation.
- Adhering to individual risk assessments
- Managing safeguarding for children and young people
- Working in partnership with other professionals and agencies
- Report writing and attending statutory reviews as required
Main duties & responsibilities:
Daily Living
To support children and young people to meet their personal needs as identified within their care plans which includes:
· Administering medication in accordance with company policy.
· Housekeeping and the planning and preparation of meals, in order to support and develop skills for independence.
· Promoting health, wellbeing and personal hygiene
· General budgeting.
· Attending Education
· Promoting Safety and Risk Management
· Participating in Activities
· Engagement in Therapeutic support
Community
To support children and young people with:
· Social inclusion and recreational activities.
· Assisting with medical appointments.
· Attending educational establishments.
· The opportunity to support individuals on their holidays.
Companionship
To support children and young people with:
· Building and maintaining long lasting positive relationships, and attachments with the people who support them.
· Taking the initiative to develop trusting and safe relationships with the people who support them.
· Assisting with individuals holistic needs including emotional, social
physical and spiritual, whilst encouraging and promoting independence and choice.
Record Keeping:
· To contribute to the development of care plans based on assessed needs of service users, ensuring they are reviewed on a regular basis.
· To assist with written progress reports as agreed with relevant purchasing agencies and to attend reviews.
· Maintain records for individuals and report any accidents in accordance with company policy.
· Read Care Plans, Communication book and complete daily diary contributing factual information as necessary
· Participate in shift handover

Personal Development
· Together with a team leader, identify learning needs through the appraisal and supervision process.
· Attend Medication administration training and then be assessed in accordance with company policy.
· To undertake Health and Safety and any other mandatory training as and when required.
· To undertake training in de-escalation, deflection, break away strategies and physical intervention techniques (CPI)
