I have 3 dogs and 2 cats, so must be okay with animals.
Care experience is preferred, once competent with all skills you be moved up to the competent rate of £15.
I’m Abigail (25) and I’m looking for a caring, reliable, female Personal Care Assistant to join my support team. I have Spinal Muscular Atrophy, Type 1 diabetes, a tracheostomy, and I’m ventilated 24/7, so the care I need can be complex. However, life isn’t all medical — I’m a sociable 25-year-old who enjoys gaming, doing my makeup, and I also stream for a living.
Shift are 12 hours, day and night, 6.30-6.30.
This is a rewarding role for someone who is calm under pressure, a confident communicator, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a wider team.
Key responsibilities
You will support me with a mix of personal care and clinical/health-related tasks, including:
Personal care and daily living support
Moving and handling
Medication support
Nebulisers
Catheter care
Tracheostomy/ventilation support (as trained)
Insulin administration and blood glucose monitoring
General wellbeing support and companionship
Supporting me to get out and about
Full guidance will be provided, and all training is provided.

Experience:
Previous care experience is prefered but not essential — a positive attitude and willingness to learn matters most.
You must be comfortable following care plans and completing daily notes/tasks accurately.
