Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Appointed Person to oversee safety and operational procedures within our industrial environment. Responsibilities
- Oversee daily safety procedures and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and implement necessary control measures.
- Coordinate with management and operational teams to facilitate safe working practices.
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training activities.
- Assist in the development and delivery of safety training programmes for staff.
- Monitor equipment operation, particularly electrical systems, ensuring adherence to safety standards.
- Support maintenance teams with electrical troubleshooting and repairs as required.
- Ensure all safety signage is visible, up-to-date, and complies with legal requirements.
- Act as a point of contact for safety-related queries or concerns within the organisation.
Experience
- Proven experience in a similar role within an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Strong understanding of health and safety legislation relevant to the industry.
- Electrical experience is highly desirable, with the ability to assist in electrical troubleshooting and maintenance tasks.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively across different teams and levels of management.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications related to health & safety or electrical systems are advantageous but not essential.
