Duties
- Welcoming and settling patients
- Chairside assistance during dental and hygiene procedures
- Maintaining a clean and safe clinical environment
- Decontamination and sterilisation of instruments
- Help when required with reception duties; this role will predominately comprise clinical duties, however, the ability to contribute to the team rota for reception will be required on occasion to ensure consistency of patient care and fluidity of the patient journey.
- Manage patient records and update necessary documentation accurately as required.
Requirements
- GDC registered dental nurse (NEBDN or equivalent) (applications are welcome from dental nursing trainees)
- A team player with a positive attitude and strong communication skills in English
- Experience in decontamination and sterilisation desirable
- Strong organisational abilities, attention to detail, ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to demonstrate initiative, contribute to the team as whole in a positive manner
- Proficient IT skills, previous experience of dental software preferable
- ACCESS NI checks and references will be required
- Recent CPD/ability to demonstrate commitment to professional development and CV.
- Be of good character and able to represent the practice and its values.
Minimum availability: Tuesday- Friday – with potential for additional days.
