We are seeking a reliable and professional Courier Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring timely service and excellent customer satisfaction. Duties
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, including vans and lorries, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies
- Plan efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries across designated areas
- Load and unload goods, sometimes requiring heavy lifting, with care to prevent damage or injury
- Collect signatures or proof of delivery from clients and customers as required
- Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery status or delays
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times during deliveries
Requirements
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier preferred
- Valid driver’s licence, including relevant 'PERSON' driver certification if applicable
- Experience with commercial driving vehicles such as vans or lorries
- Previous warehouse experience is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when required, demonstrating physical fitness
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients and team members
- Organised with the ability to plan routes efficiently and manage time effectively
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to providing high-quality service
