Delivery Driver and Casual Delivery Driver / Warehouse Operative Vacancies

We are currently recruiting for two separate positions:
- Full Time Delivery Driver
- Casual Delivery Driver / Warehouse Operative
Position 1: Delivery Driver
We are seeking a reliable Delivery Driver to support our operations by transporting and delivering goods to our customers. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent driving skills, effective communication abilities and a strong commitment to customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transport and deliver automotive goods to various customers using company delivery vans.
- Verify the accuracy of all orders prior to delivery to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Obtain customer signatures for deliveries using PDA systems to maintain accurate records. This role may involve cash handling.
- Collect and return goods as needed, completing Goods Return Notes in a clear and accurate manner.
- Promote our business by informing customers of current special offers and new products when appropriate.
- Represent the company in a professional manner, maintaining a smart appearance and ensuring uniform and delivery vehicle are presentable at all times.
- Perform other branch duties as required to support team operations.
Position 2: Casual Delivery Driver / Warehouse Operative
We are seeking a reliable Casual Delivery Driver / Warehouse Operative to support our operations by transporting and delivering goods to our customers. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent driving skills, effective communication abilities and a strong commitment to customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- To transport and deliver goods between branches as directed.
- Cover staff absences and holidays with hours each week if required.
- Check the transfer invoices to ensure all parts are for the correct branch
- Keep to the run timetable.
- On arrival at the branches, make sure all stock is removed from the van.
- On return to the branch, place any returns from branches in the correct areas.
- Warehouse duties will include checking supplier deliveries, locating stock in the warehouse, picking stock for other branches and for customer dispatch, checking customer returns and completing daily stock takes.
Qualifications for Both Roles:
- Valid driving licence.
- Excellent driving skills proven through experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service.
- The ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- A commitment to safe working practices.
- Familiarity with the geographical area of Newton Aycliffe and surrounding regions.
- For our Casual role - ability to work flexible hours, including Mondays to Fridays and Saturdays, as required.
