Overview
SR Drivers are seeking reliable and experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers to join a growing logistics operation based in Templecombe. This is a fantastic opportunity to secure ongoing work with a company expanding its fleet by 50% and offering flexible shift patterns to suit drivers.
Key Responsibilities
General Haulage Trunking — transporting food products using curtain‑sided trailers
Vehicle Safety Checks — completing pre‑ and post‑shift inspections
Curtainsider Operation — securing loads and ensuring safe trailer operation
Paperwork Accuracy — completing delivery notes and PODs correctly
Safe Driving — maintaining high driving standards to protect goods and equipment
Communication — liaising with planners and depot teams
Requirements
Minimum 1 year Class 1 experience (client requirement to reduce risk of damage)
Valid C+E licence, CPC, and Digital Tachograph Card
Ability to operate curtain‑sided trailers
Strong understanding of driver hours, tacho rules, and working time regulations
Reliable, professional, and able to work independently
Good communication and a positive attitude
Shifts & Working Pattern
4 on 4 off night shifts. Full Time.
Pay & Benefits
Competitive hourly rates
Mon-Fri Nights £18.00 ph (not including holiday pay)
Saturday £18.50 ph (not including holiday pay)
Sunday £19.00 ph (not including holiday pay)
PAYE Weekly pay
Guaranteed 8 hours minimum pay
