Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Fish and Chip Shop Fryer to join our busy team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality fish and chips, ensuring excellent food safety standards and delivering exceptional customer service. Duties
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including battering and portioning fish and potatoes
- Cook fish, chips, and other menu items to the highest standards of quality and presentation
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in accordance with food safety regulations
- Monitor oil temperature and ensure proper frying techniques are followed
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed to support the team during busy periods
- Serve customers efficiently, providing friendly and professional service
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
- Restock supplies and manage stock levels to prevent shortages during service hours
Requirements
- Previous experience in food preparation or kitchen roles is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices within a restaurant or catering environment
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail in meal preparation and presentation
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly attitude towards customers and team members
- Flexibility to work during peak hours, including weekends if required
- A genuine interest in culinary arts, particularly in traditional fish and chip cuisine
