GM Service Engineering Ltd are looking for a multi-skilled engineer to join our growing engineering team.
Previous experience in an engineering background is essential with both electrical and mechanical applications. Apprentice trained would be beneficial but not essential.
We serve the butchery, hospitality, meat processing & medical industries across the country.
The role is split between on the road visiting customer sites to repair & service their machinery, and in our workshop in Biddenden performing repairs and refurbishing machinery.
Basic mechanical experience required but not limited to:
- Fault finding & repairs, replacing bearings & seals, rebuilding/fitting new gearboxes.
Basic electrical experience required but not limited to:
- Fault finding and repairs, reading of electrical drawings, safely isolate electrical systems, knowledge of single and three phase power.
Experience with welding would be beneficial but not essential.
Monday - Friday.
7am - 4pm (Includes 30 minutes unpaid lunch).
Must have a full driving license (Ideally clean).
Company van, fuel card & tools are provided.
In-House Training provided.
Salary: £45,000 - £48,000 (Experience dependant).
This salary is inclusive of all hours required to perform your duties. No additional payments will be made for overtime worked.
On call rota for 1 in 5 weeks (Either overnight stays or out of hours call-outs - retainer paid for OOH + additional payment for any attended call-outs. Overnight payment per night paid and hotels if required booked by company).
