Experienced Vehicle Technician
£35,000–£45,000 per year + Quartley bonus | Monday–Friday | Welwyn Garden City | 40 Hours a Week
Collect Service Go Ltd is a growing independent automotive business based in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire, specialising in vehicle servicing, MOTs, Repairs, Diagnostics, Clutches, Timing belts, Brakes, Tyres and General vehicle maintenance.
We are looking for an experienced Vehicle Technician to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is confident working independently, enjoys diagnosing and fixing problems, and wants to be part of a professional, friendly and growing independent garage.
We are looking for a technician who takes pride in their work and genuinely cares about getting the job done properly.
The role
You will work on a wide range of makes and models, carrying out:
- Servicing and routine maintenance
- Mechanical repairs
- Vehicle diagnostics and fault finding
- Electrical and engine fault diagnosis
- Brakes, suspension, clutches and general repairs
- MOT preparation and associated repairs
- Vehicle inspections
- Ensuring vehicles are repaired safely and to a high standard
- Clutch and Timing belt replacements
Every day is different, so you will need to be comfortable working on a variety of vehicles and dealing with different types of mechanical and diagnostic problems.
Who we're looking for
We're looking for an experienced technician who can think for themselves and work well in a team
You should have:
- At least 5 years' experience working as a vehicle technician/mechanic
- Strong mechanical knowledge across a range of vehicles
- Good diagnostic and fault-finding ability
- Confidence diagnosing electrical and engine-related faults
- A positive "can-do" attitude
- The ability to work independently and manage your workload
- Good attention to detail and pride in your workmanship
- The ability to work to deadlines without compromising quality
- Good communication skills
- A full UK driving licence
MOT Tester status would be an advantage but is not essential. Will be an option to become an MOT tester if you are interested.
