Devon Bay Solutions is a trusted provider of property repair and home emergency services across the UK. We also handle a variety of insurance claims including First Notification of Loss (FNOL), Legal Expenses, Mediation, and Vehicle Assistance. We’re currently seeking experienced and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Customer Solutions Specialists. This role would suit someone with a background as a Customer Service Advisor, Claims Handler, Insurance Customer Support Agent, or Call Centre Representative who is looking to develop their career in a professional, supportive environment.
The Role
As a Customer Solutions Specialist,
you’ll be the first point of contact for our policyholders, supporting them through their claims journey. You’ll deliver excellent customer service, handle incoming calls, and ensure all claim details are accurately logged and resolved in a timely manner.Key Responsibilities
- Handle inbound customer calls and take First Notification of Loss (FNOL) details accurately.
- Verify policy information and gather all necessary details to validate claims.
- Provide clear and empathetic advice to customers during emergency situations.
- Allocate jobs to engineers and follow up on progress, quotes, and invoices.
- Manage and respond to emails in the claims administration inbox.
- Record invoices and costs accurately within the claims system.
- Escalate urgent or complex queries to the relevant teams or senior staff.
- Maintain compliance with FCA regulations, data protection, and company procedures.
About You
We’re looking for someone who enjoys helping others and can stay calm under pressure. You’ll be confident on the phone, organised, and able to multitask effectively.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Previous phone-based customer service, call centre, or claims handling experience.
- Excellent communication skills and a professional telephone manner.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when recording information.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Comfortable using multiple computer systems simultaneously.
- Positive, proactive attitude and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Working hours
- Shift rotation: 8:00am – 8:00pm, five days per week, including some weekends (with a weekday off when scheduled for weekend work)
