We are looking to expand within our well established support team to find a passionate and empathetic individual to work as a Personal Assistant between the hours of 7pm-8am.
The contract will be either be 26 hours, with the option of overtime.
We provide person centred care to a young female who is 30 and lives in her own home who has a physical disability due do a neurological condition and is a full time wheelchair user. She has full mental capacity and never lets her disability get in the way! The client has her own wheelchair accessible vehicle so a driving licence is a a must.
You should resilient and be able to think on your feet and use your own initiative within this role. Due to the opening there is some flexibility around picking the days you work. However all contracted staff are required to work one 13hr shift every other weekend. This is to ensure weekends are shared evenly within the team.
Responsibilities of the role:
- Light manual handling
- Light personal care
- Administration of medication (blister pack)
- Light meal preparation
- Light domesic tasks
- Assisting day to day activities
- Supporting with hydrotherapy and physiotherapy
Skills and Essentials Required:
- Good communication skills (verbal and written)
- Must be confident in working 1:1 (lone working)
- Candidates must have at least 1 years care experience
