Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and skilled piano and singing teacher to join our music school in the beautiful village of Lymm in Cheshire. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in piano and vocal teaching, with the ability to inspire students of all ages and skill levels. This role involves creating engaging lesson plans, fostering a love for music, and helping students achieve their musical goals in a supportive environment. Car driver essential.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver tailored piano and singing lessons for students of varying ages and abilities.
- Take over existing timetable for departing tutor on Fridays
- Assess students' progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance their skills.
- Create a positive and encouraging learning atmosphere that fosters creativity and self-expression.
- Prepare students for performances, exams, or competitions as required.
- Maintain clear communication with students and their families regarding progress and any concerns.
- Organise recitals or events to showcase student achievements and promote community engagement.
- Stay updated on teaching methodologies and incorporate new techniques into lessons as appropriate.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a piano and singing teacher.
- Degree or Grade 8 minimum requirement.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with students and parents.
- Patience, enthusiasm, and the ability to motivate students in their learning journey.
- Commutable distance to Lymm
- After school/evening session.
- Familiarity with exam syllabi eg ABRSM, Trinity, LCM, Rockschool.
- Scope to grow cohort and work more hours if candidate wishes to.
