Job Summary
We are looking for a friendly and enthusiastic qualified or trainee nurse (already enrolled onto a dental nursing course) WITH DENTAL EXPERIENCE. For a part or full time position, to include Monday, Tuesday, Friday and x2 Saturday morning/month (option also for Thursday but to cover the reception) in private practice. Applicant should speak fluent English, be computer literate and have dental nursing qualification, or be on a dental nursing training course- only candidates WITH DENTAL NURSING EXPERIENCE will be considered.
Position to include DSA role, sterilisation, stock management, and reception duties including answering telephones, making appointments and dealing with patients at the desk.
Applicant needs some experience at dental nursing, should be punctual, caring, compassionate and well presented. Needs to have a friendly and professional manner and work well within a team...and also have a great sense of humour because we laugh a lot here!
Position to supply uniforms and some CDP courses incl basic life support, medical emergencies and safeguarding.

Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including examinations, fillings, invisalign, botox and extractions
- Prepare treatment rooms with the necessary instruments and materials prior to appointments
- Working with a general cosmetic dentist, oral surgeon and implantologist
- Ensure all clinical areas are kept clean, sterile, and organised in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Maintain accurate patient records using IT systems and ensure confidentiality at all times
- Support patients throughout their visit, addressing any questions or concerns with professionalism and empathy
- Manage appointment schedules efficiently to optimise clinic flow
- Support administrative tasks such as stock control and ordering dental supplies as required
Requirements
- Qualified dental nurse or enrolled onto a dental nursing course
- Previous dental nursing experience essential
- Proven experience in patient care within a healthcare or dental setting is essential
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of nursing practices relevant to dental care
- Proficiency in IT systems used for record keeping and appointment management
- Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Ability to work well within a team and demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills
- A recognised qualification in dental nursing or equivalent is preferred but not essential for internship roles
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety, and confidentiality

Pay: £15.00-£17.50 per hour
