Overview
Due to the recent promotion of Apprentices Sovereign Planned Services are seeking a dedicated and motivated Assistant HVAC Engineer to join our dynamic team. Working across a range of projects and planned maintenance contracts nationwide.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop technical skills within the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) industry. The successful candidate will support senior engineers in maintaining, repairing, and installing HVAC systems across various sites. This position is ideal for individuals with construction experience or a keen interest in building maintenance and engineering.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems in commercial and industrial environments
- Support the troubleshooting of HVAC equipment to identify faults and implement effective solutions
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure systems operate efficiently and safely
- Assist with the realisation of construction projects related to HVAC infrastructure
- Participate in preventative maintenance programmes to minimise system downtime
- Support senior engineers during complex repairs or system upgrades
- Maintain accurate records of work carried out, including parts used and time spent on each task
The ideal candidate:
- Previous experience in air conditioning maintenance or general building services is desirable
- Construction experience or familiarity with building site procedures is essential
- Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Driving license essential
- Due to the nature of the business working away from home would be required for short periods on a rota basis.

Pay: £12.71-£25.42 per hour
