We are looking for a Deputy Nursery Manager who can support the day-to-day leadership of our nursery while maintaining the highest standards of childcare, safeguarding, and learning. You won't simply be assisting with daily operations—you will help shape the culture of the nursery, mentor a dedicated team of practitioners, and ensure every child receives outstanding care and educational experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership: Support the Nursery Manager in overseeing the daily operation of the nursery, ensuring smooth, efficient, and compliant childcare services.
Team Development: Mentor, coach, and support Early Years Practitioners while encouraging continuous professional growth and maintaining high performance across the team.
Quality & Compliance: Help ensure full compliance with EYFS requirements, safeguarding procedures, health and safety regulations, and all relevant childcare standards.
Children's Learning: Monitor children's development, promote engaging learning experiences, and support staff in delivering high-quality educational activities tailored to individual needs.
Parent Partnerships: Build positive relationships with parents and carers through clear communication, regular updates, and a collaborative approach to each child's development.
Leadership Support: Act as the Nursery Manager during periods of absence, providing confident leadership while maintaining excellent standards of care and nursery operations.
What We Are Looking For:
Experience: Previous experience as a Deputy Nursery Manager, Assistant Nursery Manager, Senior Nursery Practitioner, or another Early Years leadership position within a nursery setting.
Qualifications: Relevant Early Years qualification (Level 3 or above) with strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and safeguarding responsibilities.
Leadership Skills: A confident, approachable leader who enjoys mentoring colleagues, supporting team development, and creating a positive working environment.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build trusted relationships with children, families, colleagues, and external professionals.
Mindset: Compassionate, organised, proactive, and committed to delivering exceptional childcare while continuously improving nursery standards and supporting the success of the entire team.
Pay: £28,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
