Trafford’s Tree Unit Department offers a high-quality front-line service within Trafford. The service manages all council owned trees on the highway, in parks and open spaces and on the Council’s estate.
We require a full time Tree Officer to undertake tree inspections, surveys and reports of the council’s tree stock situated on the highway, in parks, open spaces and other Council land throughout the borough.
You will also be expected to deal with tree related enquires from members of the public, Councillors and internal colleagues.
You will be required to work on your own initiative planning your day to maximize your time inspecting council owned trees.
You will keep up to date with the relevant regulations, policy and legislation relating to all tree related matters.

Valuing and respecting others’ contribution, you will work together as part of a small team to deliver this frontline service.

You will need a Level 4 qualification or a combination of formal off the job training plus 2 years’ experience in a similar environment.

You will need a full driving license and your own vehicle as you will be required to drive in this role.
