Job Summary:
We are seeking a school/ A-Level leaver to join our friendly, dynamic team. This paid apprenticeship in Business Administration (Level 3 - A-Level Equivalent) offers an excellent opportunity to develop essential business administration and sales/customer service skills while gaining valuable experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, highly organized, and possess strong communication skills. On completion of the apprenticeship the opportunity of a full time role would be on offer where additional opportunities to progress throughout the business would be available.
Duties:
- Assist in processing customer sales orders accurately and efficiently using inhouse software.
- Coordinate with internal departments and field sales team to ensure timely order fulfilment and delivery schedules.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone and email, providing excellent customer service.
- Manage documentation related to sales transactions, ensuring all records are complete and compliant with company procedures.
- Liaise with transport, accounts and production departments where necessary to ensure that queries are answered, and customers’ requirements are met.
- Contribute to improving order processing workflows by suggesting process enhancements and maintaining organized records.
Skills:
- GCSES maths and English 4/C or above
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
- Good IT literacy and computer skills with the ability to quickly adapt to new software tools.
- Previous administrative or sales support experience is advantageous but not essential—training will be provided.
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks in a busy environment
- UK driving license or lives in the local area
Hours:
- 36.25 hours 9am –5.30 with 1hr 15m lunch and rota for early starts (1 in 3, 8am - 5.30pm) and Saturday cover (1 in 3, 9 – 12) which is paid at overtime rates, time + half
- 24 days holiday plus Bank Holidays
- Pay - Apprenticeship rates £8per hour moving to minimum wage on completion of 12 month apprenticeship.
