We are currently recruiting an experienced HGV Class 1 Shunter Driver for our client based in Shirebrook.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced shunter looking for regular night shifts with the potential to secure a permanent position.
The Role
- Yard shunting using a Terberg shunter.
- Occasional shunts between two nearby yards.
- Working a 4 on / 2 off night shift pattern (22:00–10:00).
- Candidate assessment required before starting.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence.
- Previous Terberg shunter experience is essential.
- Confident carrying out yard shunting operations safely and efficiently.
- Reliable with a strong safety focus.
Pay Rates
Night Shifts
- Monday to Friday: £16.80 per hour
- 5th (additional) shift: £25.20 per hour
- Saturday & Sunday: £21.00 per hour
- 5th (additional) weekend shift: £31.50 per hour
Day Shift Rates (if required)
- Monday to Friday: £16.00 per hour
- 5th (additional) shift: £24.00 per hour
- Saturday & Sunday: £20.00 per hour
- 5th (additional) weekend shift: £30.00 per hour
