Job Summary
Lore Lovis is a London-based contemporary jewellery brand seeking a Part-Time Jewellery Designer to develop original jewellery concepts and new product directions.
Working closely with the Founder, you will translate creative briefs and ideas into considered jewellery designs, exploring multiple creative directions before refining selected concepts further.
This is a two-month fixed-term position, working 15 hours per week, with a hybrid working arrangement in London. Recent graduates and early-career designers with strong portfolios are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Develop original jewellery concepts from creative briefs.
- Produce sketches and visual design explorations.
- Explore multiple design directions for individual products.
- Refine selected concepts with attention to form, proportion, detail and wearability.
- Develop selected concepts into detailed 3D CAD models.
- Prepare accurate design drawings, dimensions and specifications for manufacturing.
- Consider materials, construction and manufacturing requirements throughout the design process.
- Refine designs and CAD models following prototype and manufacturing feedback.
- Prepare organised, production-ready design and CAD files.
- Work directly with manufacturers on technical considerations and design refinements.
- Contribute to the development of a distinctive and consistent design language across our collections.
Experience
- Background in Jewellery Design, Product Design, 3D Design, or a closely related discipline.
- Strong jewellery design and concept development skills, demonstrated through a portfolio.
- Strong hand sketching and/or digital design skills.
- Proficiency in jewellery CAD software such as Rhino, MatrixGold, RhinoGold or equivalent.
- Ability to develop concepts from initial sketches through to detailed 3D CAD models.
- Ability to produce accurate technical drawings, dimensions and specifications suitable for manufacturing.
- Good understanding of jewellery materials, construction methods and manufacturing processes.
- Strong understanding of form, proportion, scale and wearability.
- Ability to explore multiple creative directions and refine designs through feedback.
- 3D rendering skills are advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and organised file management.
- Recent graduates with strong jewellery design and CAD portfolios are encouraged to apply.

Pay: £16.00-£20.00 per hour
