Drainage Engineer – Social Housing
Location: Luton & London Areas
Salary: £38,000 – £42,000 basic per annum (depending on experience)

Kelleher Group Maintenance Ltd are an expanding M&E, Gas, and Specialist Works Contractor with a bespoke approach to planning and delivering high-quality services for our clients.
You will work closely with housing associations and local authorities attending pre-booked appointments scheduled by our dedicated planning team. We manage your diary and schedule, allowing you to focus on delivering outstanding work.
We are seeking an experienced Drainage Engineer to join our team, working across social housing properties in the Luton and London area. This mobile role requires proactive and reactive drainage work while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend reactive and scheduled drainage repairs in occupied homes
- Clear blockages using rodding, jetting, and other specialist equipment
- Diagnose drainage faults and carry out minor repairs
- Complete accurate job reports using handheld devices
- Deliver excellent customer service to tenants and clients
- Take part in a paid out-of-hours call-out rota
- Work safely and in compliance with health and safety regulations
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Drainage Engineer (social housing experience preferred)
- Competent with drainage equipment (jetters, rods, CCTV where applicable)
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Basic IT skills for reporting and job management

Working Hours & Call Outs
· Core working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm.
You will be expected to participate in an on-call rota, covering critical issues out of hours and at weekends, with overtime paid on top of standby allowance for site attendance.
