About the Role
Liverpool is a city built on creativity, world-class culture, and innovation, and at Site Knowledge Group UK Ltd, we bring that same energy to digital engineering. We build high-performing web platforms and applications that make complex ideas feel effortless to the end user. We believe that entry-level code shouldn't mean basic output.
We are looking for a Junior Web Developer who is ready to take ownership of their craft. You won't just be tweaking templates; you will be building real web applications, learning modern architecture, and collaborating closely with our senior development team. You are the fresh perspective on a team dedicated to clean code, performance, and seamless user experiences.
Why Work With Us?
- The Environment: Located in the heart of Liverpool, our workspace is designed for collaboration and deep focus—flexible, bright, and built around a strong team culture.
- Engineering Standards: We don’t treat development as an afterthought. Clean architecture, proper documentation, and version control are built into everything we do from Day 1.
- Modern Stack: We build with modern tools. From responsive HTML/CSS and ES6+ JavaScript to frameworks like React and CMS platforms, you will be working with industry-standard technology.
- Growth & Mentorship: You will have dedicated one-on-one mentoring with senior developers and a dedicated budget for training, certifications, and technical courses to accelerate your career.
Key Responsibilities
- Web Development: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code using HTML5, CSS3/SASS, and modern JavaScript.
- Component Design: Help maintain and build scalable web components, ensuring cross-browser compatibility and mobile-first responsiveness.
- Testing & Bug Fixing: Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve front-end and back-end issues to maintain peak platform performance.
- UI/UX Collaboration: Translate wireframes and mockups into functional, highly interactive interfaces in partnership with our design team.
- Version Control: Manage code updates, branches, and pull requests within Git and GitHub/GitLab in an Agile environment.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience: 0–2 years of practical web development experience (graduates, bootcamp alumni, self-taught developers, and junior engineers are all welcome).
- Portfolio: A portfolio or GitHub profile is essential. Show us your personal projects, live sites, or code repositories—we care about what you can build.
- Tooling: Basic to working knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), Git, and familiarity with modern JS frameworks (React, Vue) or CMS platforms.
- Language Skills: Professional fluency in English (written and verbal) for clear team communication and documentation.
- Mindset: You are curious and adaptable. You enjoy solving logical problems, asking questions, and continuously improving your technical skill set.
