The Gunmakers is a historic pub in the heart of Marylebone, known for its welcoming atmosphere, quality food, and excellent drinks selection. We are proud to be a neighbourhood favourite and are now looking for a Supervisor to join our team and help us deliver memorable experiences to our guests.
Role Overview
As Supervisor, you will support the management team in the smooth running of the pub, ensuring high standards of service, motivating the team, and driving both sales and customer satisfaction. This is a hands-on role requiring strong leadership, attention to detail, and a passion for hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the management team in the day-to-day running of the pub.
- Lead shifts confidently, ensuring smooth service and excellent guest experience.
- Supervise and motivate FOH and BOH teams, fostering a positive working environment.
- Train, coach, and develop staff to maintain high standards.
- Manage stock levels, deliveries, and cellar to ensure quality and compliance.
- Assist with rotas, payroll, and staff scheduling.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations.
- Deal with customer enquiries and resolve complaints professionally.
- Contribute ideas to drive sales, events, and promotions.
- Step up and take charge in the manager's absence.
What We're Looking For
- Previous supervisory experience in a pub, bar, or restaurant.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Hands-on approach with great attention to detail.
- Ability to stay calm and organised under pressure.
- A passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
