At St. James's Place, our purpose is to help people make the most of life by delivering trusted financial advice and excellent client outcomes. We're looking for a Partner Transition Consultant to join our Partnership Support team on 6 month fixed-term basis, playing a key role in supporting Partners, clients and the wider business through periods of change.
This is a varied and rewarding opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, building strong relationships and making a genuine impact. As a subject matter expert within Partner Transitions, you'll manage a wide range of sensitive and often complex cases, helping to ensure clients continue to receive the support they need while balancing regulatory, operational and commercial considerations.
Working closely with the Partner Transitions Lead and colleagues across the business, you'll have the opportunity to influence decisions, provide expert guidance and contribute to the ongoing development of transition processes that support both clients and advisers. If you're looking for a role where no two days are the same and where your expertise can directly contribute to positive client outcomes, we'd love to hear from you.
- Support the delivery of Partner transition activity, including Partner exits, suspensions and client reallocations.
- Coordinate complex and sensitive cases from initial assessment through to completion, ensuring activity is managed effectively and in line with governance requirements.
- Analyse client and adviser data to identify risks, evaluate options and support informed decision-making.
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders across the business to agree practical solutions and drive positive client outcomes.
- Identify and coordinate suitable receiving advisers, ensuring recommendations and associated activity are completed efficiently.
- Provide guidance and support on vulnerable client considerations, transition activity and post-exit matters.
- Support the resolution of escalated stakeholder and client queries, complaints and sensitive cases where required.
- Contribute to continuous improvements in processes, controls, reporting and the overall client experience.
- Ensure Consumer Duty principles remain central to recommendations, actions and decisions.
- Build effective relationships across the business, using your expertise and judgement to influence outcomes and support successful transitions.
You're naturally analytical and able to use data, insight and sound judgement to make balanced recommendations, even when navigating ambiguity or competing priorities. You build credibility quickly and are confident engaging with stakeholders at all levels. Whether you're presenting recommendations, challenging constructively or working through sensitive situations, you're able to communicate with clarity, professionalism and empathy. Most importantly, you'll share our commitment to delivering positive client outcomes and will bring a collaborative approach to everything you do, working closely with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve the best possible results.
You'll have experience working within a regulated financial services environment and a strong understanding of the importance of delivering good client outcomes. You'll possess excellent analytical skills and be comfortable working with large volumes of data to support informed decision-making. Strong Excel capabilities, excellent organisational skills and the ability to run multiple priorities simultaneously are all key requirements for success in this role.
We're looking for someone with proven experience managing collaborators who can influence, challenge and negotiate effectively while maintaining positive working relationships. You'll be highly meticulous, able to exercise sound judgement in complex situations and confident working independently with minimal supervision. Excellent communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism are essential.
Experience of adviser, Partner or client transition activity would be advantageous, particularly within a wealth management or financial advice environment. Knowledge of client reallocation processes, vulnerable client considerations and complaint handling would also be beneficial.
You'll stand out if you have experience working with Salesforce, a strong understanding of adviser business models or previous involvement in driving process improvements and operational change within a regulated environment
