Trinity Respite Services supports young adults in our day service to maintain and develop life skills, enabling individuals to lead fulfilling and quality lives as independently as possible
Criteria to Apply for this Role
- You must be a Male *
- You must possess a full clean driving licence
- Have the right to work in the UK without Sponsorship and be able to work Monday to Friday 32.5 hours per week
- Be genuinely caring, compassionate, warm and respectful with a strong commitment to supporting service users
- Good written/verbal English skills
- Subject to DBS check
Duties:
- Supporting male service users to access leisure activities including swimming and sports activities
- Providing personal care to male service users
- Supporting and enabling service users to maintain skills and personal interests whilst delivering person-centred care unique to each individual.
- Ensuring Service Users are at the heart of care/support delivery and their wishes and preferences enhance their wellbeing.
- Supporting Service Users to maintain their relationships and connections with the local community
- Ensuring Care Plans and other information about how to support Service Users are followed
- Promoting and safeguarding the welfare of those individuals
* genuine occupational qualification for male support workers in accordance with the Equality Act 2010.
Desirable Experience
- Care certificate or NVQ care qualification
- Previous experience working in a care/support worker role
- Knowledge of safeguarding
