Overview
We are seeking an energetic, motivated, and detail-oriented Head Housekeeper to lead our housekeeping team, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the hotel. In this role, you will oversee the daily housekeeping operations, coordinate cleaning schedules, allocate tasks to the housekeeping team and ensure all bedrooms and public areas are maintained to an exceptional standard.
Responsibilities
- to Lead and supervise the housekeeping team on a daily basis
- Organise cleaning schedules and allocate daily duties
- Ensure bedrooms, bathrooms and public areas are cleaned to a consistently high standard
- Carry out regular room and area inspections to maintain quality standards
- Train, support and motivate housekeeping staff
- Ensure cleaning products, linen and housekeeping supplies are adequately stocked
- Monitor standards of cleanliness, presentation and hygiene throughout the hotel
- Respond professionally to guest requests and housekeeping related concerns
- work closely with reception and management to ensure rooms are ready for check in
- Identify and report maintenance issues promptly
- Lead by example and ensure the team consistently delivers excellent standards of service.
What were looking for:
- A strong understanding of cleaning procedures and safety practices.
- Prior housekeeping or mangerial experience is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team effectively.
- Knowledge of proper use of cleaning chemicals, equipment maintenance, and sanitation standards.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with staff, management, and external parties as needed.
The job will consist of working 5 days per week between 9.30am-2.30pm, weekend work is required.
