Job Overview
We are looking for a motivated and organised Warehouse Supervisor to support the efficient day-to-day running of our warehouse operations. The successful candidate will supervise warehouse staff, ensure the accurate receipt, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch of goods, and maintain high standards of safety, productivity, and customer service. This role requires strong leadership skills and a proactive approach to ensuring warehouse operations run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily warehouse operations, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on schedule.
- Lead, motivate, and support warehouse operatives to achieve productivity and quality targets.
- Allocate daily workloads and monitor staff performance.
- Ensure the safe receipt, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch of products.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with regular stock counts and audits.
- Identify and resolve operational issues to minimise delays and improve efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and warehouse procedures.
- Train new employees and provide ongoing coaching to warehouse staff.
- Monitor the condition of warehouse equipment and report maintenance requirements.
- Work closely with the Warehouse Manager and other departments to ensure timely order fulfilment.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment.
- Assist in investigating stock discrepancies and implementing corrective actions.
- Prepare daily operational reports and communicate warehouse performance updates.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a supervisory or team leader role.
- Good understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, and logistics processes.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organisational and communication abilities.
- Ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Experience within the wholesale, retail, or distribution industry.
Pay: £31,500.00-£33,500.00 per year
