We're looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Chef de Partie to join the kitchen team at Tides Restaurant, Seamill Hydro Hotel. You'll take ownership of your own section, working closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chefs to deliver exceptional food across the restaurant, weddings, and events while maintaining the highest standards of quality, presentation, and kitchen organisation.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Chef de Partie looking to further their career, or a strong Commis Chef ready to take the next step. Depending on experience, the successful candidate may be appointed as a Senior Chef de Partie, with additional responsibility for mentoring junior chefs and supporting the wider kitchen operation.

- Manage and take ownership of your designated kitchen section
- Prepare and execute dishes to company recipes and presentation standards
- Ensure all food is delivered consistently to the highest quality
- Support the Head Chef and Sous Chefs in maintaining exceptional culinary standards
- Help coordinate service and ensure efficient workflow during busy periods
- Ensure strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and health safety regulations
- Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering, and minimise wastage
- Support, train, and mentor Commis Chefs and junior team members
- Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient workstation
- Contribute ideas for menu development and new dishes where appropriate
- Foster a positive and professional kitchen environment
- Proven experience as a Commis Chef or Chef de Partie in a quality hotel or restaurant environment
- Experience in high-volume restaurants, banqueting, or weddings is advantageous
- Professional cookery qualifications are desirable but not essential
- Strong culinary skills and excellent attention to detail
- Leadership qualities and the ability to support and guide junior team members
- A genuine passion for food and eagerness to learn and develop
- Ability to perform calmly and efficiently under pressure
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
