Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Junior Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic construction team. Duties
- Assist senior quantity surveyors in preparing cost estimates and budgets for construction projects
- Support the procurement process by obtaining quotes from suppliers and subcontractors
- Monitor project expenditures and ensure costs are controlled effectively throughout the project lifecycle
- Conduct site visits to gather data, measure progress, and verify quantities for billing purposes
- Maintain accurate records of project costs, variations, and contractual documentation
- Collaborate with project managers and contractors to resolve cost-related issues promptly
- Assist in preparing tender documents, bills of quantities, and cost reports to support project planning
Qualifications
- A relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
- Basic understanding of construction processes and terminology
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and external stakeholders
- Knowledge of cost control practices within the construction industry is highly desirable
- Proficiency in MS Office suite; familiarity with estimating or project management software is a plus

Pay: £25,723.53-£44,531.65 per year
