Restaurant Supervisor
Blue Jasmine Wine & Tapasía – Ocean Village, Southampton
We are looking for an experienced and reliable Restaurant Supervisor to join our team at Blue Jasmine Wine & Tapasía, a vibrant and fast-paced restaurant in Ocean Village, Southampton.
This role is ideal for someone with strong restaurant experience, natural leadership skills, and the confidence to support the management team in delivering smooth daily operations and excellent guest experiences.
The successful candidate will be hands-on, organised, reliable, flexible with working hours, and able to lead by example during busy services.
Key Responsibilities
As Restaurant Supervisor, you will be responsible for supporting the daily running of the restaurant, including:
- Supervising front-of-house staff during service
- Supporting the management team with day-to-day restaurant operations
- Leading by example to ensure high standards of service at all times
- Delegating tasks clearly and keeping the team motivated and focused
- Ensuring guests receive warm, professional, and attentive service
- Handling customer enquiries and resolving complaints calmly and professionally
- Helping to maintain cleanliness, organisation, and food safety standards across the restaurant
- Assisting with staff training, service standards, and onboarding new team members
- Monitoring stock levels and supporting restaurant operations where required
- Helping the team work efficiently in a busy, fast-paced environment
- Promoting a positive and professional team culture
- Supporting smooth communication between front of house, kitchen, and management
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Confident supervising or leading a team
- Reliable, responsible, and punctual
- Flexible with working hours, including evenings and weekends
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Organised and able to manage multiple tasks at once
- Calm and professional under pressure
- A strong communicator with good people skills
- Passionate about hospitality and guest experience
- Hands-on and willing to support the team wherever needed
Previous restaurant supervisory experience is essential. Experience in a busy, high-standard restaurant would be a strong advantage.
Hours
We can offer either:
Part-time: around 25 hours per week
or
Full-time: for the right candidate
Flexibility is required, as the role will include evenings, weekends, and busy service periods.
