We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Nursery Deputy Manager to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this pivotal role, you will support the Nursery Manager in leading daily operations, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children. Duties
- Assist the Nursery Manager in overseeing daily nursery operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery
- Support the planning and implementation of engaging educational activities that promote early childhood development
- Supervise nursery staff, providing leadership, guidance, and mentorship to foster a positive team environment
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and childcare regulations to maintain a secure setting for children and staff
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, providing updates on children’s progress and addressing concerns promptly
- Contribute to staff training and development initiatives to enhance team skills and knowledge
- Support recruitment efforts by participating in interviews and onboarding new team members
Requirements
- Proven management or leadership experience within a childcare or nursery setting
- Extensive experience working directly with children in early childhood education or childcare roles
- Strong understanding of nursery practices, child development principles, and health & safety standards
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to engage confidently with children, parents, and team members
- Ability to lead by example, motivate staff, and foster a collaborative team environment
- Valid driving license is preferred for transporting children or attending off-site activities when necessary

Pay: £25,420.00-£35,000.00 per year
