Duties
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks to support chefs and kitchen staff
- Ensure all dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized
- Maintain cleanliness in all kitchen areas, including work surfaces, floors, and storage spaces
- Support the organization of ingredients and supplies for efficient kitchen operations
- Help with waste disposal and recycling procedures to uphold health and safety standards
- Assist with serving food during busy service times when needed
- Follow health and safety regulations diligently to maintain a hygienic environment at all times
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking processes, or culinary techniques is a plus
- Strong understanding of hygiene standards and health & safety protocols in kitchens
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting colleagues
- Basic knowledge of serving or hospitality practices is advantageous
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to the needs of the team
