Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Deputy Manager to oversee the daily operations of our care home specialising in senior care, including dementia and Alzheimer's care. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care, compliance with regulatory requirements, and fostering a compassionate environment for residents. Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the care home team, providing supervision, support, and leadership to ensure excellent service delivery.
- Develop and implement personalised care plans tailored to individual needs, including specialised dementia and Alzheimer's care.
- Oversee medication administration in accordance with legal and organisational policies.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, including CQC standards and health & safety regulations.
- Monitor quality standards through audits, resident feedback, and staff performance reviews.
- Coordinate staff recruitment, training programmes, and ongoing professional development initiatives.
- Maintain effective communication with residents’ families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies.
- Manage operational aspects such as budgeting, resource allocation, and ensuring a safe environment for residents and staff.
Requirements
- Proven experience in assisted living or nursing home environments, with a strong background in senior care.
- Previous management or supervising experience within a care home setting.
- Knowledge of dementia care practices, including Alzheimer’s care strategies.
- Qualified nurse or relevant health & social care qualification recognised by regulatory bodies.
- Familiarity with care planning, medication administration, and compliance standards.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple priorities.

Pay: £30,700.03-£34,074.86 per year
