Junior / Sous Chef (Breakfast & Lunch)

We are a friendly, independent family-run café in the heart of Mill Hill East, currently looking for a talented Junior Chef or Sous Chef to join our kitchen team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous experience in a fast-paced kitchen who enjoys brunch-style cooking and wants to be part of a supportive working environment. We’re looking for someone creative, reliable, and passionate about good food, with the confidence to contribute ideas towards new dishes and menu development.
Responsibilities
- Preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality breakfast and lunch dishes
- Supporting the kitchen team during busy service periods
- Assisting with the development of new menu items and specials
- Maintaining excellent food hygiene and health & safety standards
- Monitoring portion control and minimising waste
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience as a breakfast chef, chef de partie, junior chef, or similar role preferred
- Experience working in a busy, fast-paced kitchen
- Brunch-style experience is highly desirable
- Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills
- Must be available to work weekends
Hours
- Part-time or full-time available
- Approximately 30–45 hours per week
- Weekend availability required
