Pre-School Nursery Assistant – Ladybirds Pre-School
Ladybirds Pre-School is seeking a caring, enthusiastic and reliable Nursery Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team. This is a rewarding opportunity to work with young children in a well-established early years setting where children's happiness, wellbeing and development are at the heart of everything we do.
Hours: 20–26 hours per week
Working Days: Monday to Friday, term time only
Start Date: 27 August 2026
### Key Responsibilities
* Support children's learning and development through play-based experiences and planned activities.
* Help create a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment for all children.
* Work closely with colleagues to meet the individual needs of children.
* Build positive relationships with children, parents and staff.
* Assist with daily routines, observations and record keeping.
* Promote children's wellbeing, independence and confidence.
### Essential Requirements
* Minimum Level 3 CCLD (or equivalent recognised childcare qualification).
* A genuine passion for working with young children.
* Good communication and teamwork skills.
### Desirable
* Experience working in an early years setting.
* An Early Years Degree or relevant higher qualification would be welcomed and this role would be particularly suitable for a candidate wishing to develop their career within the early years sector.
